Program Objectives

Graduates should be able to demonstrate good knowledge of theories, principles and practices related to the field of Accounting and Finance. Specifically the graduate in expected to:

- Be aware of financial, tax and management accounting theories.

- Interpret and analyze financial statements.

- Be able to determine and present the financial result.

- Identify and resolve taxation, accounting and related legal problems.

- Define the accounting treatment appropriate to various types of business entities.

- Recognize the process and issues of internal and external audit of accounting records, as well as to determine the materiality level of accounting figures disclosed in the financial statements.

- Formulate management accounting proposals and practices in order to enhance managerial efficiency.

- Designate the appropriate accounting practices applicable.


Undergraduate Curriculum: Program Learning Outcomes

The graduate should be able to:

- Compose a chart of accounts.

- Keep accounting books and records.

- Manage financial information in order to determine business strategy and policy.

- Design costing systems.

- Use ERP systems.

- Compile budgets and reports both for business and public sector entities.

- Plan and implement internal and external audit practices.
